Okay, here are our two remaining candidates!
Version A...
Areas: | 01-10 | 11-20 | 21-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | Hero |
Lawful | Special | Maps | ||||
Mobs: | Types | Auras | Flags
Objects: | Types | Values | Flags
Rooms: | Types | Terrains | Exits & Doors |
Version B...
Areas: | 01-10 | 11-20 | 21-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | Hero | Maps |
Lawful | Special | ||||||
Mobs: | Types | Auras | Flags
Objects: | Types | Values | Flags
Rooms: | Types | Terrains | Exits & Doors |
At present, there are two votes for A and one vote for B. Also, please note that Maps, just like Mobs and Objects and Rooms, is (or, at least has always been until now) parallel to the Areas category and not underneath it; this is why it is bold and uses a different-colored background. Neyne suggests that perhaps we should eliminate the Rooms row; I'm not as certain, as this row have some useful info like where to find a bank, what different room flags mean, and everything that you might want to know about doors. --Dave Garber 22:54, 8 February 2007 (CST)
- Err, let's not forget the original. I mean, the one that's currently in use. I'm not sure if the extra links for mobs, objects and rooms are actually useful in the template, imho they won't be used any more than the grandfathered ones. My vote would go out to the one that's in use right now, mostly for its functionality. --Llanor 02:49, 9 February 2007 (CST)
- Hmmm, good point. It can be hard to decide just how much to include. Heck, we could even do something simple like this with just the Areas and Maps categories...
Areas: | 01-10 | 11-20 | 21-30 | 31-40 | 41-50 | Hero | Maps |
- Or would this be too little? --Dave Garber 03:51, 9 February 2007 (CST)
- I just did some checking and, except for both Objects and (almost) Mobs, these eight categories in this little table are the only ones that have been accessed more than 1,000 times each. Most have hardly been accessed at all. --Dave Garber 04:00, 9 February 2007 (CST)

I've been contemplating a 'tabbed' version of a template. Where the top row has links to Areas, Mobs, Rooms, Gear, or whatever (the tabs), and below that it displays the information of any one of those that is relative to this page. It'd need a template for every different 'tab'. It'd be like this:
Page A (area page): -------------------------------------- | Areas | Gear | Maps | Mobs | Rooms | |------------------------------------| | (area links) | --------------------------------------
Page B (gear page): -------------------------------------- | Areas | Gear | Maps | Mobs | Rooms | |------------------------------------| | (gear links) | --------------------------------------
And so on. It'd require a revamp of all templates, but it might be something to consider. I won't put much effort in this since it's probably not the best option, anyway. So far I like the slim one best. --Llanor 12:25, 12 February 2007 (CST)
