Ok, so I just heard there's another similar item that protects against corpse animation. This might need another category? :)

It sounds like we could make a new category like "corpse affect" or a category for gear that affects from your inventory.  Can anyone think of an item that affects a player while alive and not equipped?  That could help rule out the corpse affect category.--Morgul 17:05, 27 November 2006 (CST)

So, wait, do I just need to go get one of these items and never worry about animated/eaten corpse again?--Arcano 01:07, 28 November 2006 (CST)

It just mentions being inedible. Nothing about non-animating. Unless you also mean having the consecrated ashes. --Ylem 08:38, 28 November 2006 (CST)

Consecrated Ashes prevents animating, this one prevents eating.  Both of them go away after they do something, so they're one-use only items.  As far as categories go, I think sticking these in buffing gear is fine.  They're temporary items that give your character some advantage that it wouldn't have otherwise.  If you wanted to make a subdirectory of buffing gear for "corpse affects" I guess that would be okay too, but I have a feeling there will only be these two items in that category for a long long time.  As far as items that affect a player while alive and not equipped, the only other example I can think of is boats.  Waite 09:34, 28 November 2006 (CST)
