Trogs are a reptilian race of humanoids that live in subterranean places. They are quite strong, have above average reflexes, and are extremely tough. They do however have a huge lack in mental capacity. Because of these factors they tend to be ferocious warriors, but when the rare spellcaster is found, they are not very adept at their magic. Trogs can be identified by their reptilian features, by the nauseous odor they emit in battle, and by their very repulsiveness. Troglodytes are a subterranean race, and as such have developed the ability to see well in the darkness of the underworld.

Comments

Troglodytes have a flat 25% increase in their spell costs, but a 2.4% (that's 0.024!) reduction to psionic spells on top of it. They also have a very high casting fail rate.

Troglodytes do not get a damage modifier, are terrible at archery, have horrible stealth (will fail backstabs 25% of the times due to stealth failures alone) and are bad casters. They have some more dex and str than their same-TNL cousins lizardmen, and a bit more hps, but lack the lizardmen armor.

Overall, lizardmen might be preferable for a wide number of remort paths, since they have the same tnl and are much more versatile, but trogs also serve their purposes. Somewhere. Probably.
