Brandon the Rat King lays before you languidly, lapping at a rotting wood bowl of some foul liquid. The pink froth sloughs from his maw, fizzling as it lands on the ground before you. He gestures, with a massive, distended paw, at a makeshift sign posted near him.

His teeth are razors, his demeanor, mean.
Wath out! Watch out!  Sneakily slithering.
His pestilence rots, leaving everything withering.
He smirks at you here, with murderous glee.
Watch yourselves, little lord welps, prepare to flee!

Brandon is highly resistant to melee damage (which can be especially challenging on nospell runs such as Duke Z).

He will also go invisible during combat, coupled with his solitude, makes it really difficult for the rest of the group to attack him.
